These community guidelines exist to protect you, our members, and ensure that this forum remains supportive, respectful, and empowering for all.

We’re all here because we live with — or care about someone with — HS.
Treat every member with empathy, patience, and kindness, even if you disagree.

Please avoid:

  • Personal attacks or bullying
  • Dismissing others’ experiences
  • Toxic or inflammatory behavior

🙈 2. No Shame, No Judgment

Everyone experiences HS differently. This is a no-shame space. You are welcome to:

  • Talk about your body openly
  • Share your raw truth, no matter how hard
  • Post anonymously if that helps you feel safe

🔒 3. Respect Privacy (Yours and Others’)

  • Do not share anyone else’s personal information (names, photos, etc.) without clear consent.
  • Respect people’s choices to remain anonymous or private.
  • Don’t screenshot or share posts outside the forum without permission.

💊 4. No Medical Advice Disclaimer

This is a peer-support community, not a substitute for medical advice.

You’re welcome to:

  • Share what has worked for you
  • Discuss experiences with doctors, treatments, and procedures

But please do not:

  • Offer medical diagnoses
  • Discourage someone from seeking medical care
  • Recommend unsafe or unproven treatments as cures

🚫 5. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination

We will not tolerate:

  • Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or body-shaming
  • Hate speech or extremist views

Violations will result in an immediate ban.

🧼 6. Keep It Clean — But Honest

  • Graphic descriptions and photos related to HS are allowed, but please use content warnings (e.g., “CW: graphic wound photo”) when needed.
  • NSFW content related to HS (e.g., sex, intimacy, hygiene) is allowed only in appropriate forum sections and with clear warnings.

📣 7. No Spam or Promotions

This community is not a place to:

  • Sell products
  • Promote MLMs or “miracle cures”
  • Post affiliate links or advertisements

If you’re unsure whether something is okay to post, message a moderator first.
